into the fire!

I remember art class in High school...
I loved working with clay...all formats
oil clay armatures were always fun to fashion
rope pottery was easy yet primitive in design
throwing on the wheel, now that was an art
with the steady hand of the potter,
the  passion, skill, love...made all the difference!

           “Earthenware vessels....

Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your handiwork has no handles’?
" Isaiah 45:9

    vessels of honor...
                           it's a process...

in the throwing, He puts me into place ...restrained...
in the opening,  He reaches deep within to enlarge my heart
in the pulling,  He begins to pull me and mold me into something beautiful
in the compressing... He presses me in on all sides to strengthen my frame

GOD is at work...transformation is a process...

spinning... He inspects all of me
around and around... He gently holds me in His hands
being formed... into the destiny He has designed
lumps pressed out... iniquities abound, wiped away by His hands
pressed into shape... the uniqueness of His imprint
water poured over... washing me in His Words of Life
smoothedover and over... every blemish removed

as He declares His prophetic purpose over me...
                                      He lovingly puts me

              ...................... into the fire!
