    How restful, peaceful, joyful
             to enjoy sweet fellowship with Your  Body in global devotion to You...
    Devotion...
                 DEVOTED TO YOU...
                                desiring more of You...knowing YOU LOVE ME!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Song of Songs 4...
 8 Come with me ... my bride,
      come with me...
   Come down from Mount Amana,
      from the peaks of Senir and Hermon,
   where the lions have their dens
      and leopards live among the hills.
9 You have captured my heart,
      my treasure, my bride.
   You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes,
      with a single jewel of your necklace.
 10 Your love delights me,
      my treasure, my bride.
   Your love is better than wine,
      your perfume more fragrant than spices.
 11 Your lips are as sweet as nectar, my bride.
      Honey and milk are under your tongue.
   Your clothes are scented
      like the cedars of Lebanon.
 12 You are my private garden, my treasure, my bride,
      a secluded spring, a hidden fountain.
     (wholly separated one, the fragrance of love, a holy separated life and love
      to You)
 13 Your thighs shelter a paradise of pomegranates
      with rare spices—henna with nard,
    14 nard and saffron,
      fragrant calamus and cinnamon,
   with all the trees of frankincense, myrrh, and aloes,
      and every other lovely spice.
 15 You are a garden fountain,
      a well of fresh water
      streaming down from Lebanon’s mountains.
(John 4:10: "Jesus, my life giving, perpetual spring; eternal life"
  John 17:37 "Jesus, rivers of living water"
)
Young Woman
 16 Awake, north wind!
      Rise up, south wind!
   Blow on my garden
      and spread its fragrance all around.
   Come into your garden, my love;
      taste its finest fruits.
     (2 Corinthians 2:14-16 (CEV) "I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us to victory. God also helps us spread the knowledge about Christ everywhere, and this knowledge is like the smell of perfume. In fact, God thinks of us as a perfume that brings Christ to everyone.")
"Let those who will, mock and scorn your faith.
     What is heaven worth if you cannot bear a little shame?
        If they spit on your face, Christ will wipe it off.
                 They may laugh at you now, but not later.
        The final outcome has already been declared,
                and you have sided with the victor!"
what moves you???
     I received and email this week requesting that I might serve on the Board of RI Right to Life...my heart is moved...yet I hesitated...I wanted to be sure that I wasn't
                                         ...over committed...
as I write this journal entry I am weeping
                             over the challenge of being over committed...
how can I, as a child of God, be over committed
                 to a cause that is so close to His heart
                 that defends the most vulnerable of His creation
                 babies that are slated to become the refuse of our selfishness
                                                                  the refuse of our laziness
                                                                  the refuse of our lovelessness...
              "Then Jesus took the children in his arms
                      and blessed them by placing his hands on them."Mark 10:16
   of course I will take up the cause...my heart has been smote, pierced by love
              as the enemy is coming in like a flood;
                                                           we must raise up the banner of His love...
                                  ***********************************************************
     I just finished reading the update from Rolland and Heidi
                                     on the mission field in Mozambique
                                                     and I am moved to tears...waterfalls...
I happened to read it just as I was preparing a veggie omelet for me and my daughter...as I opened the door of my refrigerator, I thought to myself, how horrible...children should be able to eat...to be nourished...to be cared for...
again I am reminded of just how blessed we are...we are blessed,we are blessed
                                                                                                ...we are blessed...
what is our responsibility to the poor and the oppressed...
                                                                                  ....enter the Word of God...
      Gal 2: 10 "Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do."
      Math 9:21 "Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
     Luke 3:11 "John replied, "If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry."
Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind,to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
      Acts 10:2 "He (Cornelius) was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God."
      Proverbs 22: 9 - "He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor."
       as I closed the door and looked around my home
       I was overwhelmed at the amount of possessions that I have to care for...
       those things that we all work so hard not to lose...that we fanagle to keep...
        all of these things that we have...how they drain us...how they stress us...
       so much of our energy is sucked out ofus as we strive to hold on to them...
       fear of loss,
       fear of abandonment, that the rug will be pulled out from under us...
       that in one fell swoop it may all be gone... it can drain you just to think about it...
"he is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep
                                                     to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elloitt
could it be that we are the vehicles of deliverance for the people of the earth?
could it be that locked up in you and me are the answers for so many?
have we not been given a charge? a mandate? a responsibility?
will we face our Savior and give an account for all that we know? all that we have?
People of His Providence -- we are to be a blessing to the whole earth.
      WE ARE HIS HANDS AND HIS FEET ON THIS EARTH TODAY
we must each seek Him to know what it is He has prepared us to do
we are to be His conduit of mercy and love, and justice on this earth
we are the "laborers" that we pray will run into the fields that are white onto harvest
                   WE ARE THE HOPE OF THIS GENERATION
     Psalm 9:18 - "The poor and the homeless won't always be forgotten and without hope."
     Psalm 10:14 - "But you see the trouble and the distress, and you will do something. The poor can count on you, and so can orphans."
    Psalm 12:5 "Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan,I will now arise," says the LORD;"I will place him in the safety for which he longs."
   Proverbs 31: 9 - "Open your mouth, judge righteously,defend the rights of the poor and needy."
SOMEDAY WE WILL STAND BEFORE OUR GOD AND GIVE AN ACCOUNT
                 “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them
                        to give an account of how they had used his money." Math 25:19
"So then each of us shall give account of himself to God." Rom 14:12
                  "And no creature is hidden from his sight,
                   but all are naked and exposed
                                               to the eyes of him
                                               to whom we must give account." Heb 4:13
“For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God...slept" Acts 13:36
let's not get it backwards...we must rouse ourselves...
                                 "Awake, O sleeper,
                                  and arise from the dead,
                                 and Christ will shine on you." Eph 5:14
what is your divine purpose, your destiny yet to be fulfilled???
be free, commit your ways to Him and He will bring it to pass...
secrets of the heart
...as I sit in quiet...
songs begin to play in the recesses of my mind
songs that bring to light
subconscious thoughts that lay dormant
unless
they are awakened by a conscious prod...
I begin to sing the words and then remember...
how gracefully You bring them out...
those things that lay upon my heart
burdens of the soul, not so easily laid to rest...
"stuff of life" that "i/we" are going through
                                                 coping with
...some avoidable (why didn't i listen)
...some unavoidable (there was nothing i could do)
              still they weigh heavily
              deep within...
unconscious thoughts
...holding us back,
...holding us captive
   unrelenting in their hold on us
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"O, my God, My soul is cast down within me;
     therefore I remember you...
 Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls;
    all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.
By day the LORD commands his steadfast love,
    and at night his song is with me,
    a prayer to the God of my life." ~Ps 42:6-8

...deep calls onto deep...
                          ...deep calls onto deep...
                                                   ...deep calls onto deep...
                                                                             ...deep calls onto deep...
                                                   thank You, God that you beckon us in

into that place of intimacy
                                                   where we see You
                                                                    and You see us too
                                                   where light overcomes our darkness
                    and
freedom breaks forth
                                                   to accelerate transformation

         ........................"Those secrets that did run me
                                      In Your presence are defused
                           Pride has no position
                                      And riches have no worth
                           The shame that once did cover me
                                       Has been sentenced to this Earth
                           There's no other place that I want to be...
                                       No other place that I can see
                                       A place to be that's right for me (with You) ...
                       I'm going to live in the Light
                                   You are in the Light" *

to guide us

into a life of peace."

                       "(We hope that) Precious are the words we speak
                                 (We pray that) Precious are the songs we sing
                                                         Precious all these offerings
                               But now to live the life
                                   Help us live the life
                                                Help us live the life
                              All we want to do is bring you something real
                                                              Bring You something true
                              Now to go the extra mile
                              Now to turn the other cheek
                              And to serve You with a life
                                                              Let us share your fellowship
                                                              Even of your sufferings
                                                              Never let the passion die...
                                                              Now to live the life...

the ROAR to CHANGE the EARTH

the affections of this world are pulling us away
lulling us into a deep sleep of complacency and dishonor

come Holy Spirit, stir up the hearts of God's people
...stir us to summon the army of Heaven

to deliver us from every vice
to deliver us from every distraction
to deliver us from ourselves

...that lower nature that tries to bring us down

like an anchor into the depth of the sea...
....aligning itself with our enemy
hypnotizing us, tranquilizing us into compromise,
................until we are immobilized

unable to break ourselves free.....

---who shall deliver us from this body of death? Rom 7:23---

and then a cry ascends into the heavens,
it is the sound of intercession arising from the earth
like the roar of a mighty lion it thunders and shakes all of creation...
... in one breath declaring the glory of God!
... in the other, pleading for the souls of men!

fervently, incessantly, exceedingly they pray...

---that the Word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified...

that we may be delivered...2 Thes 3:1---

...and...then...suddenly...expectantly...

up from the horizon our Deliverer comes
the faithful one, riding on the prayers of His people...

prayers sent forth day and night,
                                                     they pray...
                                                             for mercy
                                                             for justice
                                                             for truth
                                               for His Kingdom to come to this earth...

---Mighty king, glorious ruler, strap on your sword and ride out in splendor!

Win victories for truth and mercy and justice.
    Do fearsome things with your powerful arm... Psalm 45: 3---

and so they empower Him to go forth in victory...
                          and in His victory, we shall have victory too!

---Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, invincible in battle.
Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—He is the King of glory. Ps 24--

still amazing today

      I got to see "Amazing Grace" this weekend...what a powerful movie...such an inspiring story... about one obedient man united with an extraordinary GOD to free a precious people!
      I was touched to watch the story of this man, his heart was so completely surrendered to God, he gave up his entire life for a cause greater then himself, a greater glory! ...and so we must too!
      William Wilberforce, truly was a great man empowered by his Father in Heaven to take an  incredible journey to blaze a pathway to freedom for his fellowman... His heart truly  burned  for God...

     "Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn." Charles Wesley

     "Give me the love that leads the way, The faith that nothing can dismay, The hope no disappointments tire, The passion that will burn like fire, Let me not sink to be a clod: Make me Thy fuel, Flame of God."  Amy Carmichael, (18671951) Christian missionary in India, who opened an orphanage and founded a mission in Dohnavur. She served in India for fifty-five years.

      "God, I pray Thee, light these idle sticks of my life, that I may burn for Thee. Consume my life, my God, for it is Thine. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like You, Lord Jesus." Jim Elliot ( 1927 – 1956) evangelical Christian missionary to Ecuador who, along with four others, was killed while attempting to evangelize the Huaorani people during what may be referred to as Operation Auca.

  ...oh, that our hearts would burn so fervently, so brightly, so completely...
      I believe that there are only two things that we really need to help guide our steps and keep the flame of passion alive...
     * an intimate relationship with God, knowing Him deeply
        and some
good friends that know Him too...friends that we can be
        transparent with and accountable too, to strengthen us in the journey.

     What I loved about Wilberforce is that he was a lot like you and me,  he was not immune to insecurity and a sense of lack...in his writings we find these words...
     "I feel the great importance of the subject and I think myself unequal to the task allotted to me."
     "My walk is a public one," he wrote in his diary. "My business is in the world, and I must mix in the assemblies of men or quit the post which Providence seems to have assigned me."
      How often in our God ordained assignments do we feel unequal to the task given???   Hopefully in all... that He may receive the glory, all the glory....
    "to God be the glory for the things He's brought me through..."Andre Crouch

...and so He gives us Himself, "For when I am weak, then I am strong."2Cor. 12:10
and He gives us friends in faith, brothers and sisters whose hearts  also burn  for Him...(Wilber had the Clapham Sect, evangelical Christians) ...
likeminded, like hearted friends whose eyes are on the Heavenly prize, with an undivided focus, a steady gaze into His eyes...
                     "I will guide you with my eyes..." Psalm 32:8
        "...complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind
          and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and
          of one harmonious mind and intention." Phil 2:2

     So we must, by His grace, link our hearts and hands and faith and force to bring His will to pass...
                                  ...let unity be enjoined in us...
                                          that from this place of global devotion
                                          and brotherly love the world will come to know Him...

                    "For God so loved the world
                      that He gave His only begotten Son,
                      that whoever in Him should not perish
                      but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

      And so we pray for the church, we encourage one another and we stay close to the one that our heart loves...believing that in Him, we will usher in His Kingdom and summon our King to return,
                                                        to rule and reign ...
                                                                               come Lord Jesus...

             "Gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble—
               every man's work shall be made manifest;
               for the day shall declare it, because it shall be declared by fire;
               and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
               If any man's work abide." 1Cor 3:12-14

"He who testifies to these things says,
                    "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!" Rev 22:20
